Contact us if you need help with your order or an earlier payment.

8. Refunds and earlier payments

For refund enquiries, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

9. Statutory Consumer and Cooling-Off Rights

Customers may have statutory cancellation, refund and other consumer rights depending on their location, the services purchased and the circumstances of the contract.

For example, qualifying UK consumers may have a statutory cancellation period for certain contracts concluded online or at a distance.

Different legal rules may apply to digital services, digital content and services that begin immediately after purchase.

Where the law permits an early supply of services or digital content to affect cancellation or refund rights, the necessary customer consent, acknowledgement and other legal requirements must be met.

Depending on the applicable law, cancellation during a statutory period may result in a full refund, a proportionate charge for services already supplied, or another legally required outcome.

Nothing in these Terms, including our general non-refund policy, removes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Electronic Signatures

document access includes electronic signature functionality for supported documents.

Customers may be able to invite relevant parties to electronically sign documents online.

Our electronic signature tools may record relevant signing details, including:

  • Signatory names and email addresses.
  • Electronic signature representations.
  • Signing dates and timestamps.
  • Signing progress and completion status.
  • Document identifiers and relevant audit information.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate signatory information and ensuring that individuals are authorised to sign the relevant documents.

Electronic signatures are not legally suitable for every document in every jurisdiction.

Certain documents may require witnesses, specific execution procedures, identity checks, physical signatures or other legal formalities.

You are responsible for ensuring that the signing process meets the legal requirements applicable to your document.

11. Document downloads and storage

Find purchased documents in My Documents. You can download or print the same purchase again without another payment.

12. Legal Documents and Professional Advice

MyDocumentDesk provides online tools to assist with preparing documents.

Although certain tools are designed for legal documents or agreements, using our platform does not automatically mean a document is legally enforceable or suitable for every situation.

The effectiveness of a document can depend on several factors, including:

  • The applicable laws and jurisdiction.
  • The accuracy and completeness of the information entered.
  • The suitability of the document for the intended purpose.
  • Proper signatures and execution formalities.
  • Any applicable registration, witnessing or delivery requirements.

MyDocumentDesk's automated document creation tools are not a substitute for personalised advice from a qualified solicitor or other appropriate professional.

Where you need advice about your legal rights, obligations or circumstances, you should consult an appropriately qualified professional.

Your statutory consumer rights, including rights relating to digital content and services, are not affected.

18. International Customers

MyDocumentDesk may be accessed by customers located outside the United Kingdom.

Laws regarding digital services, consumer contracts, electronic signatures and legal documents may vary between countries.

Users should confirm that a particular document or signing method is suitable for their jurisdiction.

We will comply with applicable mandatory consumer protection laws, including relevant requirements in a customer's country of residence.

Where applicable law gives a customer mandatory rights that differ from these Terms, those rights will take precedence.

19. Changes to Services, Terms and Accounts

We may update our document tools, features and website as the platform develops.

We may also update these Terms to reflect relevant operational, technical or legal changes.

Where required by law, we will give notice before material changes take effect and respect any associated customer rights.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address serious misuse, fraud, security threats or breaches of these Terms, subject to applicable law.

Customers remain entitled to any statutory remedies arising from an unlawful suspension or failure to provide the service.

20. Governing Law and Consumer Protection

These Terms are generally governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protection requirements.

Customers residing outside England and Wales may benefit from mandatory legal protections in their own country.

Nothing in this section removes consumer rights concerning applicable law, jurisdiction or legal remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
